Seventeen short stories, three are two-parters, making twenty tales in all. Sorry, fans, no illustrations in this book. I was working on the Fantasy World book at the time most of these stories were done, so my own free-lance contributions in this book are light, but you should find them all a great read.
Of these stories, three were story ideas totally original by me, one was for a proofreader I pay by writing him a story of his own choice every month (and he can ask for some weird ones!), one story (a two-parter) was for a fan who only buys an occasional story (nothing wrong with that!) and the other fourteen were for the fan I call PGG, who keeps me writing for him a story every week and loves stories about one boy taking on multiple men. All of PGG's stories are longer than usual so I could flesh out the sex the boy has with each man better.) I did my best on these commissions, to make them as original and exciting as I could, but none of these fans constricted me too tightly in how I wrote, so you should have trouble telling the difference here!
The stories in this book are:
The Milkman Cometh--This book's flagship story is about a young man who makes his living delivering fresh milk to the suburban town, and has a brief fling with one of the lonesome housewives he meets. She has his son as a result and one day the boy (who doesn't know the milkman is his father) begs to be taken on a route with him. Our hero takes advantage of this time to get to know his son better, which turns out to be very well indeed! One of PGG's rare choices of a single pairing in his story request.
Dean Snow, Child Actor--This story follows the life of a young boy who is chosen to be the new boy superhero in the franchise and we follow his life and loves from first audition to post-production. I did my research on this one, a PGG story.
Motivation--Young Sean's neighbor is a professional bodybuilder who is downcast at losing the competition, but the boy knows how to motivate the man, and when he opens a gym for his fellow bodybuilders, he motivates them, too! A PGG story.
The Cockatrice and Young James--When the local hunter brings down a rare cockatrice (half bird, half pig), our boy's father, a butcher, sends him to try to obtain the bird for his own preparation, sending the boy on a quest from man to man. PGG's story idea with my own unique spin, I frequently surprise/please him on how I handle his requests.
The Halloween Garden Party--Some young trick-or-treaters hear a party going on at one large house, and our hero is intrepid enough to try to see if he can gain some candy there. He gets a lot more than candy for his efforts. A PGG story.
Dad and Uncle Dave's Birthday--Our young hero has a problem, both his father and uncle share a birthday (three years apart) only a week before Christmas but he has no money to buy two presents for them, much less more! What can he do? A PGG story.
Dad and Uncle Dave's Christmas--Dad and Uncle Dave loved their presents from our hero, but now he has to do Christmas even better. Second part of the PGG story.
The Ridealong Kid--Two paramedics have a boy who won a prize at his school to get to ride along with them in their ambulance as they take calls. Between the action, he keeps these hunky paramedics happy and occupied. A PGG story.
The Enchanted Prince(ss)--Crown Prince Aubert needs to marry to preserve his family line, but he is indifferent and learning the young princess chosen for him suffers an enchantment is a matter of small import to him...until he learns the nature of what that enchantment is! My own story.
Gaydate--Our hero is a young man struggling to make a living, but the local dating app offers him a rare chance to find the Sugar Daddy he craves for more than money. He never knew his father, so he is unprepared for the unexpected result of his first date with an older man via the app. An XPR story (the PR means proofreader.)
The Erja--Our young hero's widowed mother marries a man from the Valley of the Erja, a fertile place that seems to escape all disasters that plague the land, but our hero learns why that is when he is given his own separate bedrooom on the second floor of the house. My own story.
Sexing Litle Brother, Part One and Two--Two college frat brothers talk about the best way to get laid and when one talks about getting their loving from their own little brothers in a way that the boy craves more and more, they have to try it out on their own little brothers. A two-part story for fan JG.
Marigold Draper's Cookies--When the two orphanages (one for boys and one for girls, each under the same patronage) suffers financial troubles, they decide to launch a cookie business, with the girls cooking and the boys out selling. But these boys figure out how to get the customers to want to buy more and more cookies that they would deliver. A PGG story.
The Truth or Dare Weekend--When his older brother is allowed to have three frat brothers over for a weekend (the parents are away), our hero demands to invite three of his friends, and the boys play a game of Truth and Dare which involves the older boys. A PGG story.
My Canadian Thanksgiving--An American boy goes to spend time with his Canadian relatives during the Canadian Thanksgiving, which happens in October well before the American one, but there's a lot of resemblance in the family get-together that occurs. A PGG story (he's Canadian).
The Pursuit of Justice--When his father is falsely accused of a crime, it's up to our hero to do what he can to rescue his father, a journey that takes him through the entire court process. A PGG story done my way (I'm retired from the legal field).
The Real Santa Claus--Our hero has tolerated the fake Santas presented to him every year, but his year, he sees the REAL Santa in a Thanksgiving Day parade and manages to talk to the Big Guy in person, where he asks for a very odd thing for Christmas that the real Santa Claus is only too happy to provide. A two-part PGG story.
Home for the Holidays--Our hero has a younger brother over a decade younger than he, and the boy has always been envious of our hero. When he returns from college for the holidays, he finds the younger brother has taken over his old bedroom and Mom has no place for him to sleep but the basement, or share the bed of his little brother in his own former bedroom! My own story.
